Molyslip Moly Powder is technical grade molybdenum disulfide in a fine powder form, designed to provide superior lubrication. Moly Powder provides:
Moly Powder’s Unique Solutions:
Unconventional Lubrication – As a result of environmental conditions where various contaminating material (dust, dirt, etc.) is attracted to more traditional lubricating methods, it can become quite difficult maintaining operational equipment. Moly Powder provides an effective solution to this problem. Moly Powder can be applied dry and offers extreme protection to components without attracting any forms of contaminating material.
Extreme Pressure Environments – Moly Powder is able to withstand in excess of 140,000 p.s.i. which makes it extremely effective when used in applications such as cold metal forming.
The pressure protection offered by Moly Powder allows cold forming of metal under a film of Moly Powder to take place without welding or pickup.
Extreme Heat Environments – Additionally Moly Powder is ableto withstand extremely high heat environments. It remains thermally stable up to1100°C and has a melting point of 1185°C.
Provides an excellent lubrication for: chains • sprockets • lead screws • feed rods • bearings • gears • splines • slide bars
Excellent for use in: cement plants • quarries • glass works • food processing plants
Moly Powder is best applied using a draw box. Alternatively components can be dusted
